The meeting was moderated by the president of the FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association board of directors. The purpose of the meeting was an exchange of views concerning student perceptions of harassment and profiling by FBI agents.

The meeting resulted from concerns raised by campus community and local communities regarding the fearful climate for Muslim and Muslim American students associated with investigative activities of the FBI in the local Phoenix metro area since 9/11.
